Dr. Victor Ofovbe

Dr. Victor Ofovbe obtained a Bachelor of Agriculture degree from University of Nigeria Nsukka in 1982 and also won an academic prize award for being the best graduating student in the Department of Animal Science in 1982.

He obtained Master of Science degree (Animal Science) in 1985 and a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree (Animal Science) in August, 1987 from the University of Ibadan. He has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Project Management (with emphasis on Agricultural Project Finance) from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri in 1996 and he is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (AIIN).

He worked with Bienoseh and Associates, Lagos (A firm of Management and Agricultural Consultants) from September, 1987 to July, 1988, when he joined the newly established Nigerian Agricultural Insurance Company Limited.

He was engaged as a Senior Livestock Officer and has served in various capacities including being Branch Manager, Rivers and Bayelsa States from 1993 to 1997; Edo State from 1997 to 2006; Zonal Manager (South-East; South-South) 2006 to 2010.
